In order to integrate external sources (Persons - VIAF - Virtual International Authority File, Taxa - PESI - Pan-European Species directories Infrastructure, and CoL - Catalogue of Life, etc.) a simple yet efficent architecture was developed.

A mix between pre-processed metadata enrichment and life querying ensures that users will have a pleasant user experience. Various state of the art technologies like Fedora Commons, Solr, Drupal 7, etc. are utilized to create an up to date portal with fast response times.

The target of the poster will be to outline the developed architecture with special focus on search term amplification and search integration.
