Abstract
The Scratchpads Training is an intensive one-day course aimed at helping current and prospective Scratchpad (http://scratchpads.eu/) users to develop their site building skills and guide them through major features like the taxon pages, data import, and communication tools. Attendees will be given the opportunity to learn best practices and gain a better understanding of what the Scratchpads can do for them and their research community. The training course is aimed squarely at the end user, and is not intended for developers or system administrators. Those interested in hosting their own Scratchpads sites should speak with S. Rycroft during the conference and check out our GitHub repository (https://github.com/NaturalHistoryMuseum/scratchpads2).
By the end of the training course, each attendee will have a basic training site populated with content provided for them. Attendees should have a good idea of how to proceed with customizing their own Scratchpad with their own data.
